Qing Ming Yesterday

It was Qing Ming yesterday, an annual day where families go visit their ancestral/relatives' tombs. So there were a bunch of relatives at my house yesterday. I usually don't do anything on this day, not that I can do anything because the house would be occupied and I won't be able to get any sleep, not from all the noise.

I slept till late morning, which was considered lucky since my family had to do cooking, house-cleaning all just so the house would look span and clean when the useless relatives come for lunch. It annoys me alot because every year they come, and they would make a HUGE mess of the house, make hell alot of noise and then leave with a big bang. Its like a typhoon just swept through our living room, there would be pieces of food on the floor, candy wrappers, half-empty drink cans etc. Still I shouldn't complain if I'm not the one who do the cleaning-up, yeah?

Actually, I kept wondering why they can't rotate the house thing? Every year, dad has to get up especially early to queue for the poultry and then prepare the food. Mind you, he has to cook enough to feed some twenty people. I would like to see these relatives' house get messy once a year, just for good measure. Annoying bunch.

I have nothing to talk to them about, so usually I stick to my room and play games. I don't really want to go out to greet them either, as far as I'm concerned, I have nothing to say.

Yeah, family social events and me don't go well together. I avoid them unless there's absolutely no way I can avoid going.
