Full Moon o Sagashite

Over the past two weeks, I have finished watching over 5 different anime. Among them, Full Moon o Sagashite has the most touching storyline and Ouran High School Host Club is the funniest comedy anime I've watched in a long time.

Full Moon o Sagashite tells the story of a 12-year old girl, named Mitsuki who has throat cancer. She loves to sing but was told that she only had 1 year left to leave. Knowing that, she decided to give all she could and try to be a singer. She wanted her songs to reach her childhood sweetheard, Eichi, she has lost touched with 2 years ago.

She met two spirits, one of them changed her into 16 year old so she could go for an audition and eventually won it. Her 16 year old alter ego is Full Moon, an excellent singer.

It is a nice romantic anime which has its funny moments as well as heart-wenching times.

[SPOILERS START HERE]

The episode where Mitsuki went to America to find her childhood sweetheart only to learn that he had die two years ago. It was so sad to see how Mitsuki reacted to this news. She was devastated and collapsed almost immediately. After gaining conscious, she wandered off and found Eichi's grave. At this time, she was more or less a walking corpse, suffering from her illness and the devastating news. She told Eichi at his grave that she would rather die besides him. And she collapsed there.

Always with her, are 2 spirits who are actually 'Grim reaper' and are going to claim her soul when her time is up. They were the ones who told her that she had only 2 years left.

The soundtrack is excellent, in my opinion. My two favorite songs are Eternal Snow and Myself which are Full Moon's singles in the anime.
