WOW: PvP is only fun when you're winning
About Meread more | add new commentI've been playing WoW for three months now and had leveled my paladin to 70 and started raiding for gear. It's all fun but she is almost totally useless in battlegrounds and in PvP. A paladin is just too easy to control, one fear spell, one stun spell, and she's a goner. Granted, I need to get more resislence gear. Oh well. I don't get to score much kills in a bg or win in a PvP session.
My friend who's a level 70 rogue is quite the opposite. And we have some PvP fun together just a few days ago.
I was leveling my level 40 warlock in Tauren Mill when a 70 alliance hunter went on a killing spree and attacked the horde outpost. Unlucky for him, my rogue friend was there waiting for me to help me with some quests so they got into a fight. Hunter's pet killed him while my rogue friend managed to kill the hunter after he rezed.
I arrived and suspecting that the ally hunter might have friends coming to attack my friend, I logged my paladin and the two of us went after the hunter. After killing him twice, the hunter ran away and didn't come back, so I logged back to my 40 warlock.
But, another 70 alliance shaman showed up instead. This one was funny. As my friend was still flagged, he stealthed himself and went after the shaman and killed him quickly. I was laughing at the pathetic shaman.
Then someone shouted that an ally rogue was seen in the vincity so I put the 'detect lesser invisibility' buff on my rogue friend and got flagged. My friend asked me to hide in the church to wait out the flag but I decided to play bait instead.
The ally shaman rezed himself and since I am a lvl 40 in the middle of TM and taunted him off, he wanted to come after me. I spared no effort in my insults and taunts at him and he eventually came for me, but my rogue friend was waiting for him. Hah, he sapped him and proceed to dissect him quickly enough. I even threw a few dots on him while he tried to escape and died.
It was really fun when you're on the winning side. I think that shaman died at least 6-7 times by the hands of my friend. I do think he would re-consider the next time he felt the temptation to raid a horde town alone.
