Plastic Bags

I've taken upon myself to protect the environment by using less plastic bags. It's frightening how Singapore being such a small country, actually uses twice as many plastic bags a year compared to Australia. I can't remember the exact reason why plastic bags are bad for enviornment but I vaguely remember it has something to do with the fact that they are not biodegradeable.

So, nowadays whenever I do my grocery shopping, I would ask for less bags. I don't even want my heavier package double-bagged because I am prepared to take the extra effort and deal with it. The worst case scenario would be the plastic bag break but from experience, they don't do that unless there's something sharp among my purchases.

Violent Crime

Music: POD - Youth of a Nation

Mood: angry

I got up for dinner late last night because I was too hungry to sleep. Out of habit, I grabbed hold of the newspaper and read the front page while eating. One particular news caught my eyes. The headlines were something of 'Angonizing Death'.I simply had to read the article.

 =================WARNING!===========
Warning graphical violence, so don't proceed if you're not comfortable with that.
====================================

 The article was about a recent murder. The police caught two suspects after investigating a violent murder, in which it was speculated that the murderers' motives was robbery. There were two victims, one dead and the other being invalid, could only watch as his wife was hacked to death.

 The article described that the female victim was a small woman in her mid fifties. She died of excessive bleeding. She had alot of wounds on her body, all of them were not cause death because they were not large enough, however it was slowly draining life of her. Majority of her wounds were on her lower body and forensic evidence indicated that she tried her best to fight her attackers off while trying to crawl away while the attacker hacked away at her body!!!

 It was also shown that she had rolled on the floor many times in agony while her invalid husband watched. There was also evidence that indicated that the robbers left her alone after initially attacking her while they ransacked the place, and then came back to stab her several more times.

 Wtf? These people derived pleasure from someone else agony? I was so angry and upset after reading that that I couldn't really finish my supper. In fact, I was rather tramatized by the callousness.

 I woke up this morning after a nightmare. I dreamt that I witness a violent murder but the victim was a young teenage girl. Yeah, I saw her flesh and head being hacked off, leaving only her upper spine. Eeeks! Yeah, I was in cold sweat and it still sends shiver down my spine when I think of it.

Smelly Fruit

Music: FFX OST - To Zanarkand

I have a passion for hating the smelly fruit, aka durian. I don't know if you guys seen it before. The fruit seems most commonly available in asian countries. I swear I didn't see it in Australia, which was a major relief to me.
